Laura Margaret Luedeke (1903-1994) graduated from the University of Rochester in 1926. After graduation, she married Irving Mac Arthur and taught German, biology, history and English in Panama High School, Panama, NY. In the late 1940's she became a caseworker for the Monroe County Department of Social Welfare.

Within the sea of stones, angels hover offering protection, solace and grace, while ready to carry souls to their heavenly homes. A link between this world and the next, angels prefigure the triumph of love, life, and the human spirit.
