| This on-line exhibit was created by Corinne Carpenter '03. The original exhibit on which it is based was the work of many dedicated and enthusiastic people. Professor Th. Emil Homerin (pictured at left) and three students from his "Speaking Stones" class -- Michael Bell, Corinne Carpenter, and Bridget Cougevan -- helped to plan and research that exhibit. Additional research was provided by Dr. Yechiel Goldberg, Jessica Kaiser, Frank Lattuca, Leif Olsen, Tia Neely, and Emily Piltch. Mary Huth, Nancy Martin, and Melissa Mead of the Rare Books and Special Collections provided invaluable expertise and assistance in mounting the original exhibition. Special thanks are due to Shirley Ricker of the Reference Department for her photographs and untiring support. As ever, Frank A. Gillespie of the Friends of Mt. Hope Cemetery offered every possible assistance, as did Richard Reisem. Finally, sincerest thanks to Nancy Hilliard, Director of Cemeteries, for her continued encouragement and support for "Speaking Stones." |
