Alyssa Rodriguez is a PhD candidate with the History Department. Her research focuses on Soviet law and legal history during the Brezhnev era, which has allowed her to study using unique legal documents and handwritten letters. Alyssa is currently continuing with this research as part of the completion of her doctoral program at the University of Rochester.
The Experiencing History Directly Internship has been made possible by the generosity of Randy and Lisa Whitestone through the Zagorin fund. The internship is a joint effort of the University of Rochester History Department, the Rossell Hope Robbins Library & Koller-Collins Center for English Studies, and the Department of Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation (RBSCP), with support from RBSCP Director Miranda Mims, Director of Robbins Library Anna Siebach-Larsen, Special Collections Processing Archivist Lev Earle, Exhibitions and Special Projects Manager Jessica Lacher-Feldman, and History Department Chair Professor Laura Smoller.
