Huntington-Hooker Genealogy

The family traced their roots to some of the earliest puritan settlers in New England, and they credited Thomas Hooker to “founding” Connecticut in 1636. This family had the rare privilege of being able to trace their family line so far into the past, and this has led to incredibly detailed genealogy scrap books. These scrap books include photos, birth, marriage, and death dates of most Hooker family members, as well as branches off of the immediate Huntington-Hooker line. Beyond just important dates, there are pages filled with biographies and stories of family members. These biographies show how wealth and assets were passed down the family line, the professions of various Huntington-Hooker men, as well as important service in the military from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War.  There are also photographs of different family homes and estates. This scrap book is an incredible account of the family’s genealogy and history, and is incredibly unique in its level of detail and range of documents.
