Book Plates

A book plate is a label that has been attached to the inside front cover of a book, or adhered to the front endpapers. They are often adorned with EX LIBRIS, showing ownership of the volume, and are frequently created to reflect the aesthetic and personality of the book's (and bookplate's!) owner. Featured here are some interesting bookplates from our extensive holdings in this area, acquired, then donated to RBSCP by three committed collectors.
