Arrangement

The Individual Manuscripts Collection is a collection in name only. It consists of single items or small numbers of items generally received from a single source. For this reason, the items may seem to be out of sequence in this finding aid. For example, materials in the MacLehose folder (under "M") include letters written by Ainger, Morrison, and Smith. These MacLehose materials are kept together to preserve their provenance and intellectual integrity, rather than dispersed to present a simple A-Z list of materials.
