The advertising questionnaires were sent by the National Advertising Service to the Campus Times staff to establish rates for advertising, circulation, student enrollment, publication schedule, size and extent of the paper, and what types of ads were acceptable. During the period reflected in these questionnaires, ads for cigarettes and some other types of tobacco were acceptable; ads for beer and liquor/alcohol were not. Ads for stimulants such as Verv and NoDoz were also unacceptable.
