A correspondence file of Rush Rhees, president of the Memorial Art Gallery, covering such topics as gifts, memberships, the opening and inaugural exhibition of the gallery, art works, lectures, facilities, and shipping. Mostly copies of outgoing letters from Rhees and George L. Herdle, secretary and art director of the gallery, with some incoming correspondence from members, donors, other museums, and Memorial Art Gallery board members and officers such as Julius M. Wile.
Arrangement
This collection includes two alphabetical ranges. One range begins on November 21, 1912 and ends on November 15, 1917. The other begins on January 5, 1913 and ends on December 11, 1917.
