Biographical/Historical note

Frank Loa Cubley, donor of the Cubley Cup which is awarded to the class having the highest percentage of returning graduates at reunions, was a member of the Class of 1897 at the University of Rochester. Mr. Cubley was a lawyer who became the president of the village of Potsdam, president of the Potsdam High School board of trustees, and vice-president of the Citizens National Bank of Potsdam. He was also a member of the board of trustees of the Thomas S. Clarkson Memorial College of Technology.

Scope and Contents note

His scrapbook contains memorabilia (clippings, invitations, programs, etc., 1893-1897) from various activities held on the campus while he was a student at the University of Rochester.
