Biographical/Historical Note
The Pulver Company was a Rochester-based manufacturer of candy and chewing gum with offices located at 33 Canal Street. They were founded in 1899 Frank F. (a publisher) and Henry H. Pulver (an optician) as Pulver Chemical Company on 25 North Water Street. From c. 1903 to 1914 they were known as Pulver Chocolate & Chicle Manufacturing Co. Other office locations over time included 185 Platt Street, 85 Allen Street, and 295 State Street.

Scope and Content
Pulver Company went out of business in 1954 and their materials - including ingredients - were sold at public auction.
