Scope and Contents

The collection includes incoming and retained copies of outgoing correspondence of William H. Sisson of Lyons, of Wayne County, N. Y. The period covered is 1836-1855, with the period of concentration being 1847-1849. Most relate to his activities as a member of and an officer in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Also includes a number of I.O.O.F. printed letters and forms. In total, the collection contains 44 letters, 18 pieces of non-correspondence manuscript material, and 36 printed letters and forms, most of the latter filled-out in manuscript.
