Scope and Contents
The Ellen Laura Todd Photograph Collection consists of the mounted photographs taken by Ellen Laura Todd (1907-1998) on a Mediterranean vacation with her family in 1926.
Access
The Ellen Laura Todd Photograph Collection is open for research use. Researchers are advised to contact the Rare Books, Special Collections & Preservation Department prior to visiting. Upon arrival, researchers will also be asked to fill out a registration form and provide photo identification.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Todd Photograph Collection was donated by Elizabeth C. Todd in October 1987. Her husband, George L. Todd, was a cousin of Ellen Laura. His father, George W. Todd, was Libanus's older brother.
Use
In consultation with a curator, reproductions may be made upon request. Permission to publish materials from the collection must be requested from a curator. Researchers are responsible for determining any copyright questions.

Biographical / Historical note
Ellen Laura was the daughter of Libanus M. and Nora (Conway) Todd. Her father was noted for inventing the protectograph and co-founding the Todd Protectograph Company, which produced checks and check writing machines. Ellen Laura later married Philip Goodwin and had two children, Todd Goodwin and Patricia (Goodwin) Sladden.
