Elizabeth Van Santvoord papers
Biographical / Historical note
Elizabeth Van Schaack was born in 1824. She married George Van Santvoord, a prominent jurist and author. She and her husband lived in Kinderhook, New York. Elizabeth Santvoord contributed writing pieces to magazines and newspapers, including The Democratic Review, Oliver Optics Magazine, The Independent and The Galaxy. She often used the pseudonyms, "Thekla" and "Aunt Herusha".
Elizabeth Van Santvoord died in 1913.
