Scope and Contents

The Leslie (Stuart W.) Collection consists of twenty-nine audiocassettes containing interviews done by Dr. Stuart W. "Bill" Leslie, Professor of History of Science and Technology at John Hopkins University. They were done for his prospective book, Blue Collar Science. Many of the interviewees are faculty and staff at the University of Rochester, while others are prominent Rochester scientists.

The Stuart W. Leslie Collection is open for research use. Researchers are advised to contact the Rare Books, Special Collections & Preservation Department prior to visiting. Upon arrival, researchers will also be asked to fill out a registration form and provide photo identification.

Use

In consultation with a curator, reproductions may be made upon request. Permission to publish materials from the collection must be requested from a curator. Researchers are responsible for determining any copyright questions.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The Collection was donated by Professor Leslie in June 2010.
