Unity Club collection
Biographical / Historical note
The Unity Club Collection documents the literary interests of its members from the 1880's through 1907. The members studied and celebrated the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Robert Browning.
Scope and Contents
This collection contains printed items related to what the Unity Club called Emerson Classes and Browning Classes. There is also a scrapbook with clippings related to Emerson, as well as a wooden plate for a service ordaining Emerson, held on March 11, 1829.

The Unity Club Collection is open for research use. Researchers are advised to contact the Rare Books, Special Collections & Preservation Department prior to visiting. Upon arrival, researchers will also be asked to fill out a registration form and provide photo identification.
Use
In consultation with a curator, reproductions may be made upon request. Permission to publish materials from the collection must be requested from a curator. Researchers are responsible for determining any copyright questions.

The Unity Club collection was made a gift by Stephan Thomas, February 6, 1962.
