Erasmus Darwin Smith papers
Biographical / Historical note
Erasmus Darwin Smith was a judge and lawyer in Rochester, N.Y. He was a Supreme Court justice in New York State from 1855-1876, and an honorary graduate of the University of Rochester, 1868. Briefly, during 1849, he was political editor of the Rochester Daily Advertiser.
Scope and Contents
The Erasmus Darwin Smith Papers includes family correspondence, poems and school essays, certificates and other documents, clippings, and drafts of speeches.
